Would you like to combine the useful with the pleasurable? Everybody needs to work obviously, but working in an office cubicle or being able to travel around the world while working are two very different things…According to a survey, approximately 75% of the millennials responded that they actually work in order to be able to pay for their travels. Only about a quarter responded that the primary reason to work is to pay the bills and other basic necessities.
The good news is that youngsters who do not have other responsibilities (such as raising a family!) can choose to travel freely while also making the money they need to sustain a living. Let’s check out a few of the most ‘travel-friendly’ jobs that you can aspire for:
Translation & Language related jobs
If you speak at least 2 languages, there is good news for you. There is a huge globalization process going on in all sectors and industry fields, so companies always need employers who speak different languages. You may get your qualifications and then become a translator, you can work as a travel guide, or a top content manager. You will most probably be relocated to a different country, and travel a lot for work purposes.
Working as a travel agent
By being a travel agent, you can basically work from anywhere on a remote basis. More and more companies hire travel agents for different international spots. Again, you might have to take a few qualifications, but it is definitely worth it as you will have the chance to travel a lot, meet new people and cultures and you will never ever say that your job is…boring.
Work as an event planer
Yet another trendy job is to be an event planner. Your will need to undertake different responsibilities such as traveling to a certain location to organize an event – from weddings to concerts everything can be covered. Other duties might include the purchase of different supplies, negotiating contracts with third parties on behalf of the client, setting up and supervising the entire event, etc. An event planner job can be stressful at times, but it involves a lot of fun and traveling.
Become a content writer
This is another flexible job that allows you to work from anywhere. You don’t have to be physically present in an office, so you can work from your home or from the comfort of your hotel in Bali. Also, many companies hire specifically travel content writers, hotel/restaurant reviewers, and then you will get paid to travel and write those blogs, reviews, booklets, etc.
