Hopelessly Looking for your Dream Job? (there is something you are doing wrong!)

Looking for dream job

You are looking for the perfect job for more than 6 months now, but not even an interview invitation has popped up. What is it that you are doing wrong? Why can’t you finally come across a few nice jobs that you are truly interested in and where your skills truly fit that job? Maybe you are performing a hectic search & apply trend that leads nowhere. Maybe you do not take enough time to search for a truly high quality job or employer. Let’s see below a few of the strongest tips on how to make your online job search truly efficient

Trust highly reliable recruiting agencies– perform a thorough research online and find the best recruitment agency or hub that truly focuses on sourcing talent such as yours. There are many agencies out there, but remember that not all of them are reputable or right in your case. With this you will actually save more precious time and be able to focus in one important direction. The agency will put you in contact with the most relevant recruiters.

Build a rich network online– don’t just be present on LinkedIn. Start being active there, by enlarging your network with quality connections and acquaintances. The larger your network, the greater the chances that you will find the perfect job, or that you will get found by a recruiter.

Don’t reach out to an employer before running a thorough research on the respective company, general job requirements, and other such details. If a company is reliable, it will be present online and you will find plenty of quality information that proves helpful during your job search.

Don’t rush. You are on a job hunt, but nothing is so important that you should jump for the worst proposal. It is exactly like when you take out a loan. You go shopping around for the best offer, you wait for quotes and then you compare them, and you carefully read the terms and conditions. The same applies to finding a job. It takes some time, but it is definitely worth it to invest all your efforts into finding the right job that will keep you busy on a long term basis.

Try social recruiting strategies– start looking for social media pages of the companies/brands you love the most. More and more high profile companies are actually trying to attract new employees through ads posted right on their social media page.
